I am begging you IMF, NATO, WHO, Xi Jinping, the Paw Petrol or whoever it is that’s in charge of the calendar year; let us all be the same age that we were in 2020. I think we deserved that. #2020wascancelled
So how’s the new year celebration? For me it was great! Gotta spend some time with my cousins at Rai’s wedding . Totally bonkers! We all had a great laugh and I absolutely loved the intimate wedding ceremony they had! I’ll be sharing some photos later but before that, what are your new year resolutions for this year? For me, I want to do less this year.
Yeap, you heard right. I think “to do more” have always been the default new year resolution the past decade or so but if anything 2020 has taught us is that we can plan but God is the ultimate planner. I thought 2020 was going to be a massive year filled with overseas whitelabel projects for Pod (hello taitai life! 😎) but when Covid hit, travel ban started, corporate budgets were slashed and everyone was on a wait and see mode. So my taitai life might have to wait.
Having said that, I honestly am thankful for 2020 with all of its surprises. I had more time to think and I mean REALLY THINK. I had time to look at my life journey, figure out my weaknesses and truly spend time working on them. That should make me a Wonder Woman by the end of this year. Step aside please, Gal Gadot.
So, this year, I want to do less. To stay laser focused on a handful of things I am committing my time and energy towards. I have 7 areas in my life I want to work on with ONE very specific goal for each. So I have just 7 goals this year:
- Business growth
- Personal development
Let’s check in by the end of the year to see how did I do. In the meantime, here are some photos from Rai’s wedding. Raihana (we call her Rai) is one of my cousins that I grew up with and to see her taken away is just… *someone pass me a tissue pls*
(the rest of you may skip to the pictures below) To Rai : I am so happy for you, love! I pray that this new chapter in your life be blessed with tons of happiness and joy. May your days with Abid be filled with love, laughter and little bundle of joys (soon k ;P) And even when times are tough, you both will work on it together insyaAllah. I love you babe! And Abid, welcome to the family! We are loud, hilarious and overall; quite crazy. You’ll love it! 😀
On that note, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! 2021 is going to be great, I can feel it!
